Carson Branum, our fearless leader, was born and raised in South Knoxville where he attended the University of Tennessee to play football under Johnny Majors as a wing-back and graduated with a degree in Pre-Law and a minor in business. After Carson graduated, he began his 38-year construction career working for local material vendors, then local builders to build experience before going out on his own as a custom home builder. Carson has experience in residential and commercial construction, custom home building, custom office spaces, home renovations and restorations, and much much more. Carson started Honey Badger in 2022 with the main goal of blessing each of our clients with beautiful custom work and stellar customer service with overcommunication. Carson truly believes if we keep our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the center of everything we are doing here at Honey Badger, He will bless the work that we are doing and the customers that we encounter. Success is a biproduct of doing the little things right!

Tanner was born and raised in Knoxville, TN and has a degree from Carson-Newman University in Business Administration with emphasis in Management. Tanner has been a licensed Realtor with Realty Executives Associates since 2021. Tanner has previous experience in the construction industry coming from a major roofing company in Florida, including various other construction jobs and sales positions.

Native to the greater Knoxville area Brent brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. Brent, his wife and two daughters love exploring all things Knoxville, new and old. Brent is the newest addition to Honey Badger Custom Homes family, but he is no stranger to the construction industry. Brent has over 7 years of industry knowledge and experience. As the Director of Operations, he will oversee projects from start to finish and will most certainly ensure that even the most minute details are attended to. Brent has gained well-rounded experience in a range of construction project applications over his career. His strong client relationships, track record of leading large-scale new home construction and renovations, and ability to coordinate with all cross-functional teams to ensure quality on-time delivery, is what makes him a great addition to our team.

Ethan was born in Atlanta, GA and raised in Oak Ridge, TN. Ethan brings a wealth of construction expertise and a passion for the industry to our team. With a deep-rooted background in construction, Ethan’s journey began by learning the ropes from his family’s construction business where his fascination with the craft flourished. His career trajectory has been nothing short of impressive, starting as a superintendent, and within a short amount of time, Ethan rapidly ascended the ranks to become a project manager. Ethan strives for client satisfaction, coupled with strong communication and leadership skills from his time in the Navy, have made him an invaluable asset to our organization. Ethan’s commitment to our company goes beyond his daily responsibilities, he is a problem solver who proactively seeks out solutions to enhance our operations which makes him a vital role in helping Honey Badger excel. Outside of the construction world, Ethan enjoys time on the golf course building relationships and enjoying the company of his close friends. During the summer you will find him on the lake with his wife, Rachel, and son, Carson. We are very excited to have Ethan a part of the Honey Badger team and excited to see what Honey Badger Faith can build!

Dana was born and raised in South Georgia and decided to move to Knoxville 9 years ago with her family. Dana enjoys DIY-ing her home on the weekends, however this experience is only bonus compared to the 15+ years she has from Marketing/IT support to Accounting and overseeing implementation of many process improvements. We are very lucky to have Dana and her years of experience in the construction industry and more specifically, professional administrative experience. She is married with four children, three of which are grown, and her youngest daughter is here with her in Knoxville and attends Hardin Valley Academy. We are very lucky, and excited to grow Honey Badger Custom Homes knowing Dana is at the forefront of implementing new and innovative administrative processes. It is very evident that God has placed Dana on this team, and we are looking forward to what He has planned for us next!

Luis was born in Antigua Guatemala where he learned how to become a chef specializing in American, Italian, and French cuisine. He moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1978 where he continued to work as a French chef. He decided to go to school and learn how to read, write, and speak English while there in LA, as well as taking several courses receiving certificates in Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical, and Construction Technology. Luis has over 35 years in Residential construction, specializing in fire and water damaged homes. He moved here to Knoxville, TN back in 2005 and has loved it here ever since. Luis brings a great amount of experience to our team in different areas that we are very lucky to have! Plus, company outings taste very good having Luis around!

Alan was born in Knoxville, TN and raised in Dandridge, TN. He is working on his bachelor’s degree in Business Management with emphasis in Project Management. He comes to us with multiple years of labor experience in Commercial & Residential Construction, and over 2 years of experience as a Project Manager for RiteRug Flooring where he managed subcontractor relations, project scheduling, material orders and deliveries, etc. We are very excited to have Alan a part of our growing team here at Honey Badger Custom Homes!
